Nerdfighters For the Win!

One of my favorite channels on YouTube is vlogbrothers. Brothers John and Hank Green undertook a challenge they call Brotherhood 2.0. Here's what it's all about, courtesy of Brotherhood2.com:

Q. Who are you?
A. Hank and John Green have been brothers for more than twenty-six years. Hank is an ecogeek, writer, and web designer who lives in Montana. John is a writer (he wrote the novels Looking for Alaska and An Abundance of Katherines) who lives in Indiana, having recently moved from New York.

Q. What is Brotherhood 2.0?

A. After noticing that their relationship had for years consisted primarily of emails and instant messages, John and Hank swore off all textual communication with each other for 2007. Instead, we are making public video blogs back and forth every weekday for the entire year.

Q. What happens if you fail to update on your appointed date?
A. The person who fails to update will be punished. Punishments are suggested by viewers, and then the actual punishment is chosen for the sinner by his brother. Other infractions can also result in punishment. The first punishment was chosen by Hank for John: On February 5th, John waxed his chin.

Brotherhood 2.0 started January 1st of 2007. That means now that it's December, they've got less than a month to go. This makes me very very sad because they're made of awesome. Catch it while the movement is still alive. First, some key terms to help you along your journey:

NerdFighters: "Nerds who fight the scourge of popular people." John and Hank are NerdFighters. So are the people who watch their videos.

In My Pants: Adding the phrase "in my pants" to any book always results in hilarity. "In My Pants" is also the name of the Brotherhood 2.0 forum.

The Yeti: John's wife, Sarah. As John says "Sarah is like our Yeti, while she will appear prominently in our folklore and you'll hear stories about her, sightings will be exceedingly rare."

Wednesdays: Wednesdays are the day that Hank has to create and sing a song.

Here are some of my favorites:
