Clap Your Hands Say Ow

My hands can get crazy chapped in the winter. I guess this isn't that abnormal, considering an average day in Madison is, like, a balmy -10. Plus there's the Wizard of Oz tornado-esque winds. And washing my hands 10 times a day because I don't want to get sick probably doesn't help either. It just results in dry crackly hands from hell.

But dear readers, I've found a product that helps cure my mutant winter digits. It claimed that it was a "revitalizing formula for stressed skin." I was wary. The revitalizing part sounded all in good fun. But I wasn't so sure I would classify my hand skin as stressed per say.

Yes, they frequently try to do everything themselves, like tying my shoes and opening bottles, often resulting in exhaustion. Sure, they're always quite busy. But it's not like they make a big deal out of everything and set unrealistic goals and have chest pain.

But I decided to give AVEDA Hand Relief a try anyway. And I'm glad I did because it's a super mousturizing, rich lotion. You only need a little dab and it smells lovely and citrusy. And it absorbs fast, making it superior to those other hand moisturizers that are all, "I'm sticky and greasy as hell but buy me because the old-timey ice fisherman of Vostok, Russia used me while on their old-timey fisherman boats."

As far as shit you smear on your hands goes, this one is little pricey. A 1.4 fl oz tube costs $7.50 while a bigger 4.2 fl oz tube costs $18. But when you get it as a gift (thanks Mom!!) it's not as hard to stomach.
